Atyopsis Moluccensis
|
Atyopsis Moluccensis is considered the best filter feeding shrimp but will also readily accept pellets, crab bites, wafers, and food sticks. It is best to keep a current through the water as they prefer to filter from the water not the substrate however. They also enjoy having driftwood on which they will colonize and filter from.
Atyopsis Moluccensis is clawless and therefore harmless to fish. They should not be kept with large cichlids or aggressive fish however as it will be viewed as a meal. Same size shrimp as well as dwarf shrimp are easily kept with the species also. Tetra and mid sized non aggressive fish are common tankmates. |
